2026„Zeitsinn“ ist eine interaktive Medieninstallation über die Endlichkeit des Lebens und die Frage, wie wir unsere begrenzte Zeit nutzen.
Im Zentrum steht eine physische Sanduhr. Besucher:innen verteilen ihre „Lebenszeit“, indem sie die Sanduhr auf Felder wie Beziehung, Familie, Karriere, Gesundheit oder Spiritualität stellen. Jedem Bereich ist eine digitale Bildwelt zugeordnet, die sich mit der investierten Zeit weiterentwickelt.
Da die verfügbare Zeit begrenzt ist, können nicht alle Motive vollendet werden. Jede Entscheidung für einen Bereich führt somit zum Verzicht in einem anderen. Ist die Sanduhr abgelaufen, wird der individuelle Lebenszyklus als Zusammenspiel aus entwickelten und unvollständigen Bildern sichtbar.
Die Installation lädt dazu ein, das eigene Handeln zu reflektieren und Zeit bewusster wahrzunehmen.

“Zeitsinn” is an interactive media installation exploring the finiteness of life and the question of how we use our limited time.
At its heart is a physical hourglass. Visitors allocate their “lifetime” by setting the hourglass on categories such as relationships, family, career, health or spirituality. Each category is associated with a digital visual world that evolves as time is invested in it.
As the time available is limited, not all images can be completed. Every decision in favour of one area therefore means sacrificing another. Once the hourglass has run out, the individual life cycle becomes visible as an interplay of developed and incomplete images.
The installation invites visitors to reflect on their own actions and to become more conscious of how they use their time.
