Let there be Light ist eine fluide Klang- und Lichtinstallation über Empfang, Unterbrechung, Dringlichkeit und Spiritualität, die nie zweimal identisch ist.

Dreißig Radios stehen im Raum. Nicht alle hören dasselbe. Die Installation verteilt mehrere Audiospuren über vier FM-Frequenzen: ein Podcast über das Phänomen flackernder Lampen, ein KI generierter Delta Blues Song, ein langsam gespielter Reggae-Loop, eine vorgelesene Notfallliste sowie Atemübungen zur Beruhigung in Ausnahmesituationen. Jede Gruppe von Radios empfängt eine andere Frequenz.

Die Sequenz folgt einer festgelegten Timeline: Phasen, in denen nur ein Kanal hörbar ist, wechseln mit Momenten, in denen alle Frequenzen gleichzeitig senden. Dazwischen: Rauschen, das Geräusch des Suchens und des Übergangs.

Eine einzelne Lampe hängt im Raum. Sie flackert, wenn die Frequenzen wechseln.

    “Let There Be Light” is a fluid sound and light installation exploring reception, interruption, urgency, and spirituality—one that, is never identical twice.

    Thirty radios are placed throughout the room. Not all of them are tuned to the same station. The installation distributes multiple audio tracks across four FM frequencies: a podcast about the phenomenon of flickering lamps, an AI-generated Delta blues song, a slow-tempo reggae loop, a read-aloud emergency checklist, and breathing exercises for calming down in extreme situations. Each group of radios receives a different frequency.

    The sequence follows a set timeline: phases in which only one channel is audible alternate with moments when all frequencies are broadcasting simultaneously. In between: static, the sound of searching and transition.

    A single lamp hangs in the room. It flickers when the frequencies change.
