Raspberry Pi, Telefonhörer, 3D-gedrucktes Gehäuse, Elektronik, KI-Software, 2026 Digital Echoes ist eine interaktive Installation in Form eines Telefonapparats, die ein Gespräch mit der KI-Kopie der vorherigen Nutzer:in ermöglicht.
Die Bedienung erfolgt dabei intuitiv durch das Abheben und Ablegen des Hörers, um ein Telefonat zu starten und zu beenden. Nach einem kurzen Intro verbindet sich der Raspberry Pi im Gehäuse mit einem Server. Dieser verknüpft verschiedene Drittanbieter-Tools miteinander, um den Voice-Assistant zu starten. Während des Telefonats werden Stimme und Gesprächsinhalt erfasst, um einen neuen Sprachassistenten als Klon zu konfigurieren.
Auf diese Weise entsteht eine fortlaufende Kette von Mensch-Maschine-Interaktionen, die die Grenzen zwischen beiden verschwimmen lässt und zum Nachdenken über die eigene „geklonte“ Identität einlädt.

Digital Echoes is an interactive installation in the form of a telephone that allows users to have a conversation with an AI copy of the previous user.
It is operated intuitively by picking up and hanging up the receiver to start and end a call. After a brief introduction, the Raspberry Pi inside the housing connects to a server. This server links various third-party tools together to launch the voice assistant. During the call, the user’s voice and the content of the conversation are recorded to configure a new voice assistant as a clone.
This creates an ongoing chain of human-machine interactions that blurs the boundaries between the two and invites reflection on one’s own “cloned” identity.
