Eine audiovisuelle Installation über die strukturellen Wirkungen algorithmischer Systeme, 2026Algorithmische Empfehlungssysteme prägen Aufmerksamkeit, Diskurse und kulturelle Ausdrucksformen digital, ohne dass ihre Funktionsweise erkennbar wird. Die Installation übersetzt diese Mechanismen in eine räumliche, sinnliche Erfahrung. Da digitale Räume maßgeblich über Text organisiert sind, ist Text zentrales Gestaltungsmaterial der Arbeit.
Ein mehrschichtiges Gestell mit semitransparenten Projektionsflächen erzeugt Überlagerungen und Verschiebungen, die algorithmische Prozesse des Filterns und der Verarbeitung visuell übersetzen - als zeitlich strukturierte Erfahrung.
Die von Lorenz Schauler komponierte Musik begleitet die Installation klanglich und emotional in fünf Akten. Klangatmosphären von Ordnung über Dichte bis zu Irritation und Überforderung machen die Dramaturgie der einzelnen Akte körperlich spürbar.

Algorithmic recommendation systems shape attention, discourse, and forms of cultural expression in the digital realm without their inner workings being apparent.
The installation translates these mechanisms into a spatial, sensory experience. Since digital spaces are organized primarily through text, text serves as the central design material of the work.
A multi-layered frame with semi-transparent projection surfaces creates overlays and shifts that visually translate algorithmic processes of filtering and processing into a temporarily structured experience.
The music composed by Lorenz Schauler accompanies the installation sonically and emotionally across five acts. Sonic atmospheres ranging from order and density to irritation and overwhelm make the dramaturgy of the individual acts physically palpable.
