Coolranzen

Der Coolranzen und sein Partner werden ihrem Namen gerecht: die zwei McNeil-Schulränzen sind mit Lautsprecher, Unterbodenbeleuchtung und Beamer in einer Brotzeitdose ausgestattet. Damit ist der Coolranzen mehr als nur ein stylischer Bluetooth-Speaker. Mit Hilfe eines Controllers, der passend zur 90iger Jahre-Ästhetik im Stil einer SNES-Konsole gehalten ist, lassen sich Animationen von Besuchenden wechseln und steuern. Neben verschiedenen Animationen und Visualisierungen kann mit dem Coolranzen auch ein eigenes kleines Freiluftkino betrieben werden. Der Musikempfang und die Berechnung und Videoausgabe der Animationen erfolgen im Inneren per Raspberry Pi Einplatinencomputer.

    The Coolranzen (roughly translated: “too cool for school backpack”) and its partner live up to their name: the two McNeil school bags are equipped with a speaker, underbody lighting and mini-projector in a lunchbox. This makes the “Coolranzen” more than just a stylish Bluetooth speaker. Animations can be changed and controlled with the help of a controller, which is designed in the style of a SNES console to match the 90s aesthetics. In addition to various animations and visualizations, the “Coolranzen” can also be used to operate its own small outdoor cinema. The music reception, calculation and video output of the animations are operated via Raspberry Pi single board computer.
