CINZIA CAMPOLESE (IT): COULD YOU TAKE A PICTURE?
The work features a series of modified-use LCDs of different brands and models. Each of these screens, through direct sight, emits a full and colored light without showing any content. The project wants to question this habit and the way it affects our memories and feelings about an event, by proposing a work that, in contrast, requires us to look through another screen in order to experience it physically. The piece, by its name or Could you take a picture? or invites visitors to use their cameras to view visual compositions hidden from the naked eye.
Die Arbeit zeigt eine Reihe von modifizierten gebrauchten LCDs verschiedener Marken und Modelle. Jeder dieser Bildschirme strahlt ein volles und farbiges Licht aus, ohne einen Inhalt zu zeigen. Das LED-Beleuchtungssystem, das normalerweise für die Anzeige in LCDs verwendet wird, wird durch ein eigenes ersetzt und durch einen integrierten Schaltkreis gesteuert, der Interferenzmuster erzeugt, die nur durch die Kamera unseres Smartphones sichtbar sind. Die Arbeit lädt ein: „Could you take a picture?“
