AKIKO NAKAYAMA (TOKIO, JP): Mit verschiedenen Flüssigkeiten,zahlreichen Farben und Texturen lässt die japanische Künstlerin Akiko Nakayama auf der Bühne Bilder entstehen. In ihrer Performance interagieren die Farben auf der Arbeitsfläche miteinander – dadurch entstehen verblüffend abwechslungsreiche Verläufe und Formen. Es blubbert, es fließt und es klingt! Denn bei dem Konzert arbeitet sie auch mit dem Programm Fluid2wave, das aus den abgefilmten Farbunterschieden live Töne generiert. So ergibt sich ein kraftvolles Miteinander von Bildern und Tönen, oder, wie die Künstlerin selbst sagt: von Yin und Yang.
LIQUID COLORS
Alive painting is a live performance of dynamic changing picture and sounds. The dance of Yin and Yang. The artist tends to paint living things and convey energy in metamorphosis. She depicts the resonance between shapes and textures by using different types of liquids, and also a self build sound system 'Fulid2wave' - each with a unique characteristic. It is an abstract metaphor of various aspect of nature through the use of colors and fluidity, and attempts to celebrate the moments of beauty amidst the ephemerality of life.
