»loop30 – der Hör-Raum im Kulturhaus abraxas« bringt als kleiner Ableger des lab30 Festivals ganzjährig akustische Spielarten der Medienkunst ins Foyer des abraxas. Die nächste Ausstellung in der Klangkunst-Galerie startet am 6. November: »Grasslands Dream of Electric Sheep« ist eine atmosphärisch dichte Ambient-Klangskulptur von Robin Storey (UK) in Kooperation mit Mystified (USA). Robin Storey (*1955) ist als Begründer der legendären Post-Industrial-Band Zoviet France (und auch heute mit seinen Solo-Veröffentlichungen als Rapoon) eine ähnlich wegweisende Figur in der Entwicklung der experimentellen »Sound Culture« wie Asmus Tietchens.
A LISTENING ROOM AT ABRAXAS
„loop30 – the listening room at the abraxas arts centre“ is a small satellite of the lab30. All year long, loop30 presents sound-based works of media art in the foyer of the festival venue. The next exhibition in this sound art gallery opens on 6 November: “Grasslands Dream of Electric Sheep” by Robin Storey (UK) with Mystified (US) is a dense, highly atmospheric ambient sound sculpture. Thanks to his role as co-founder of legendary post-industrial band Zoviet France and his ongoing solo work as Rapoon, musician and visual artist Robin Storey (b. 1955) is a key figure in the development of experimental “sound culture”.
