EXPERIMENTAL POP
CICO BECK / NICO SIERIG (MÜNCHEN): Bekannt geworden mit den Bands »The Notwist« und »Aloa Input«, haben Cico Beck und Nico Sierig aus Lust am musikalischen Experiment die Band »Joasihno« gegründet. Nun musizieren sie mit Robotern, Synthesizern, Loops und Effektgeräten, mit Marimbaphonen und Percussion. Die Musik bewegt sich zwischen Pop, Minimal und Electronica – der Sound erinnert an Nils Frahm, Moondog und Steve Reich. Doch: »Joasihno« heben nicht ab. Sie holen Leben ins abraxas Theater. Mit ihren kleinen akustischen Wundern beschließen sie den letzten Konzertabend beim lab30 – und stimmen ein auf die dritte Clubnacht.

CICO BECK / NICO SIERIG (MÜNCHEN): Known for being part of pop bands (The Notwist, Aloa Input, Le Millipède), Cico Beck and Nicolas Sierig created Joasihno to explore some more experimental paths. The two musicians play face to face on the ground, with marimbas, synthesizers, percussions, and accompanied by a few self-made robot musicians. The result is a mixture of pop music, minimal music and electronica. By listening to their last album "Meshes" (2016), some parallels with early works from Four Tet, but also influences from likes of Moondog, Nils Frahm, Steve Reich and Philip Glass pop in mind.
