EUROPEAN MEDIA ART FESTIVAL
Das European Media Art Festival, kurz: EMAF, ist ein Festival für Film und Medienkunst, das seit 30 Jahren in Osnabrück stattfindet. Das EMAF zeigt experimentelle Kurz- und Langfilme, Musikvideos, neue Erzählformen und Dokumentationen sowie Sonderprogramme und Retrospektiven. Beim lab30 läuft in diesem Jahr ein von Festivalmacher Ralf Sausmikat kuratiertes, zweiteiliges Best-of aus der letzten EMAF-Tour mit vielschichtigen Kurzfilmen, die aktuelle Strömungen der zeitgenössischen audiovisuellen Kunst aufzeigen.
SHOWREEL
EMAF is one of the most influential forums of international Media Art. As a meeting point for artists, curators, distributors, galleries and an audience of experts the festival has a great impact on the topics and aesthetics of Media Art. Each year the festival offers its visitors a current overview of experimental films, installations, performances, digital formats and hybrid forms – just like an older sister of lab30! That’s why we invited festival manager Ralf Sausmikat to curate two programs for our short movie program. These movies will show us multilayered, contemporary, interesting audiovisual art projects.
