Gerhard Zander / Gerald Fiebig (D/Augsburg): No-input-Musik

No-Input Mixing Board-Performance

In the late 1990s, Japanese musician Toshimaru Nakamura developed the “No-input mixing board”, a musical method now used worldwide. Its sole source of sound is a mixing console whose output is connected to the input. This creates feedback sounds which are processed in real-time using effects devices. With their improvisations, duo Gerhard Zander/Gerald Fiebig introduce the Augsburg audience to the magic of no-input.
