Sounds based on human hair

Transducers is an installation composed of several laboratory glass devices, each encasing biological material collected from different individuals: A single human hair – merely physical debris on the one hand; significant information carrier on the other. Based on the inserted hair sample the devices generate a signal and make it audible for the public whereas the sound of each apparatus depends on each donor’s individual specimen.
