A phone-random-generator with global access 

»Inside and Outside«  builds upon a list of telephone numbers which belong to public telephones spread all over the world. The moment the beholder picks up a telephone handset, he or she automatically gets connected to a random telephone from the list. Maybe someone picks up, maybe not. However the piece builds the basis for conversations that otherwise never would happen. The object is liberated from its specific location and allows the guest to become part of the artwork. All that remains is a fleeting trace in public space.
