"lab award" acknowledges artistic achievements which stand out as exceptional, especially innovative and extraordinarily creative. It supports interdisciplinary and cross-genre work, and wants to encourage experiments and transboundary approaches. The prize, 1.000.- EUR, is provided by Kulturbüro Augsburg. The jury, consisting of students from Hochschule Augsburg, develops a new trophy every year which is given to the winner in the award ceremony.
